The '20s Kids Redwork embroidery patterns have that popular vintage look. They are my first redwork pattern set, and therefore, are the closest to my heart. I named them after members of my family, mostly my grandmother because she had quite a few first names!

Just how much fun can an "all grown up lady" have! I love nursery rhymes and stories. These are a few of my favorites, especially "The Land of Counterpane", from the Robert Lewis Stevenson poem of the same name.

Halloween, my Favorite Holiday, no worries, no hurries! I colored this set with Pentel Fabric Fun crayons. It was a very limited palette. I would like to color them again with some of the newer fabric coloring products.

I love the old stories, the mermaids, the water babies, all of the sea creatures. This is one of my favorites, it works up so perfectly in Green variegated DMC floss, bordered with Blue and Green Batik. One of these days, I will get the quilt finished. So many quilts, so little time!

I played with dolls it seems like forever. I loved to make clothes for them, especially Barbie. I could always come up with some scrap or sock or piece of velvet to make some fab gown with. We had a good old time, my dolls and I and all the stuffed animals. Much like the girls in these patterns who love their dolls to bits.

This is my tribute to Chloe Preston, a British author-illustrator born in 1887. Her drawings are rare and I want everyone to have a chance at embroidering them. Personally, I have plans to do some tinted linens with these designs, or maybe even crewel work on a few of them.

I did this set because I was going to rent a booth at "Road to California" quilt show in Ontario, Ca. some years ago before Carolyn retired and her son took over. It's a huge enterprise now! I didn't manage to get there after the first time, which I'm pretty sure was the first "Road to California" but these little cars and baby drivers are still cute and fun to embroider. Maybe I will get back there one of these days.

I was so thrilled with the response to the '20s Kids, that I had to do another set with children. Little ones are so precious, I couldn’t resist drawing children again, and what better subject than Christmas!

Over the years, some of my customers asked me to create patterns featuring Black children, so I put together this cheerful collection of children having fun and enjoying playtime. They made me smile when I first created them, and they still make me smile today.

I love the holidays and Easter hats and dressed up ducks! Nostalgia is my bag. My Mother, an avid redworker, designed the center basket for the set. I think she did a wonderful job.

I just love the vintage looking old fashioned snow people. I have to stop myself from making more of them! They are always welcome in the season as a pillow top, or a table runner. Especially, that lucky person who gets a Christmas quilt covered with snow people.

Birth Flowers of the Month patterns. Each one has a little girl and her particular flower of the month. I had a great time making this set.

I love fairies and brownies and water babies, so I had to have some fairies. They were fun to add some color to with the Pentel Fabric Fun crayons, and I loved embroidering them in lavender. In fact, they were fun all around. Some people wanted their naked little butts covered, I told them just add a couple of lines for pants, they are cartoons for Pete's sake.

My Quilt Guild is called Quilters By The Sea, it was an apt name for all of my babies having fun in the ocean. They are a lot of fun to embroider, and really make up into a nice quilt for those breezy evenings out on the porch.

This one has large size panels which lend themselves nicely to tinted linen. I did this one with my limited palette of Pentel Fabric Fun Crayons. There are so many different fabric pens and pencils and techniques for coloring fabrics now. If I ever have time, I would like to do this again. Also, I gave instructions on how to do the patchwork and make the panel into a wall hanging.

I wanted to do MORE children, hearts, flowers and innocent romance. Don't be intimidated by the flowers, they are only lazy daisies and really embroider quickly.

Dogs are so cute and everybody loves a doggie. These guys are just doing doggie things. Being silly, clumsy and just plain lovable. They were fun to do, and they work up really well in a darker brown floss.
